Welcome to Speers Point Public School. I hope you will enjoy your child's time here and share in their experiences with our school as my family has. We have a small school with lots of opportunities for its students.
Our school encourages a strong parental presence with volunteer parents helping with canteen, reading programs, sporting events, excursions, arts and craft as well as the parents and citizens' committee (P&C).
Our P&C Canteen is open three days per week. The canteen is staffed by volunteers who hold the nutritional interests of our children at heart.
The teachers and principal of the school encourage parental involvement in the development of school curriculum activities and are open to feedback regarding improvements to the current educational programs. The school endeavours to provide information so that you may monitor your child's progress within the school.
In addition, the P&C Committee instigates a few fund raising activities to allow the purchase of additional equipment and resources for our children beyond that provided for by State Government funding.
The P&C encourages parents, caregivers and citizens to join in our social and fundraising activities. We have some fun while helping our children get the most benefit from their primary school years.
