When new students can start "big school" feeling, happy, safe and confident – then you know the transition to school has been a success. Our program achieves that for our students starting their most important journey through taking out the uncertainty.
Orientation days will occur in Term 4 with the 2025 Kindergarten teacher. This allows the pre-Kindergarteners get to know their teacher before the year starts.
The orientation times include time in the 2024 Kindergarten classroom, so students know what their class looks like next year, with their 2025 classmates.
Buddies from Years 4 and 5 are assigned to help our pre-Kindergarteners, building relationships before the start of school. It gives another helpful, friendly face in our school and on the playground.
Most importantly - orientation is about having FUN! School is a fun place to be. Pre-kindergarteners participate in some wonderful activities, from learning about "big school" events like assemblies, to getting into the vegetable garden, picking strawberries.
