Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
The Speers Point Public School P&C Association is a not-for-profit organisation which is established to promote the interests of the school by uniting parents, families, citizens/community members, students and teaching staff. The primary focus for the SPPS P&C is to assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school, while promoting well balanced educational experiences with opportunities to develop and flourish within the school grounds.
Annual membership of the SPPS P&C is $2.00 and is open to all parents, carers and guardians of pupils attending the school. This entitles you to be involved in the decision making of the Association and it is expected that you agree to follow the Constitution, By-laws & Code of Conduct adopted by the SPPS P&C Association. Copies of these documents are available from the Secretary.
The SPPS P&C is always keen to welcome new members, Meetings are held on Mondays of Week 3 and Week 8 of each term. Meeting agendas are emailed 1 week prior to meeting and new items can be added via email or discussion with executive members.

Our school enjoys actively taking part in a variety of fundraisers and opportunities to further provide beneficial teaching and learning resources for our students.
