Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
The pathway to life-long learning starts here.
Our teachers are committed to planning and implementing programs which will suit your child and help him/her to become lifelong learners. We believe to be nurtured from the earliest days. Our role, as parents and educators, is to challenge and satisfy children's enquiring minds.
Speers Point Public School is a strongly community based school. Being a family orientated school, we are the school who's size allows all teachers and students to know each other well, while still being able to provide rich and diverse learning programs.
In the school context we can best develop a passion for learning by engaging both students and parents in the learning process. Education is also a social process! As a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school, we celebrate the daily successes of each child in many ways and we encourage the development of our 4 key expectations (safe, responsible, respectful, achievers) across all of our programs.
These expectations are explicitly taught through PBL lessons. These lessons promote positive relationships amongst our students, teaching them to develop resilience and confidence.
We believe that the greatest learning occurs within the context of personal growth, personal motivation and social interaction.
We look forward to a positive and exciting partnership as we share the responsibility for the formal education of your child.
Chris Payne, Principal of Speers Point Public School
